Camie's Training Schedule

Just in case anyone is interested, Camie sent me the marathon training schedule she swears by. If your mile time is 10 min, it's the yellow column, 9 min the green column, 8 min the blue column (I assume.) During the week the numbers are the amount of minutes you should run. On Saturday the number is a distance. Here it is:

My New Shoes



So lame about my ankle, right? I have never gotten injured when running (shin splints and other soreness obviously don't count...), so this incident scared me into actually going to one of those specialty running stores where they watch you walk/run and pick certain shoes out for you and answer any and all questions you may have and... it was awesome. I spent a tad bit more money than I typically do, but I LOVE these new shoes. In fact, I'm wearing them right now. I'm pretty sure my ankle healed the minute I put them on because it loves them so much and wants me to go running. Okay, maybe not, but I have never owned real running shoes before, and it's a beautiful thing. I am so pumped to go running on Monday.

Don't worry, I'll come to you

Seeing as we are spread across the country I thought this video was kind of awesome. I found it on my friend Camille's blog and I thought it was pretty great. I have a new goal. I not only want to run the marathon, but I want to sing during the marathon!
